How can I help you?
Relationship Issues
There’s nothing you want more than to feel secure, held, loved, seen and able to form, keep and strengthen your important relationships whether that’s with a dating partner, fiancé, spouse or in preparation for a romantic relationship. Come to therapy as a single person who struggles to keep the love you want or as a couple who wants to feel closer! By diving into your relationship styles, we can see what patterns may be unhelpful and find new ways to get and give love!
Pregnancy, Postpartum, & Parenting
You wish to have a baby, are expecting or just became a parent. Life before this stage felt more predictable and under control. Now things may seem uncertain and fears might be settling in. I can help you to make sense of the changes and to gain confidence in your abilities as a new mother or father.
Sometimes, the road to parenthood takes twists and turns that affect our mental health. I am trained to identify and treat perinatal mood disorders and am here to support you to land softly in this stage of life.
Our society does not do a good job of acknowledging the pain of loss. I know it hurts and where you go from here can seem so confusing. Maybe you had a miscarriage, experienced the sudden death of a loved one, said goodbye to a dream, physical abilities, or a job. I compassionately come alongside you while you mourn and discover your way forward.

Finding the right therapist is so important! If I feel my skills and expertise are not best suited to support you, I will offer you other resources to consider.
About me
Hi! I’m Ruth Rodriguez Lee, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. I’ve been a therapist for over 10 years and feel privileged to live out my dream job. Spoiler alert, that’s working with you!
What sets me apart is that I strive to not become ‘stale’ as a therapist despite my years of experience. I am committed to your well-being while I sit in front of you in the therapy room but also behind the scenes.
I ongoingly invest in trainings, relevant literature, and professional development opportunities to stay on top of best practices and the latest research.
Because we are not meant to do life alone, it’s important for me to assist you to build your community and, I, too, am anchored in my own. Belonging to professional networks are my lifeline to being a therapist of integrity and knowledge equipped with tons of resources to assist you.
My professional associations include being a member of the California Association of Marriage & Family Therapists, Postpartum Support International, and the American Association of Christian Counselors.
Lastly, I am a Clinical Supervisor to pre-licensed associates. I choose to take this responsibility to support emerging mental health professionals, contribute to the field by shaping the next generation of therapists, and because supervising others keeps my clinical knowledge and skills sharp as those under my mentorship regularly challenge me to grow just as I will caringly do for you!
